Today, Matthieu Delaporte, grandson of Vincent Delaporte, guided by his passion, deploys his energy, since 2010, to sublimate the wines of the estate: restructuring of the estate, working the soil without herbicides, lower yields, vinification in barrels …
In terms of viticulture and winemaking, nothing really revolutionary here: the work is focused on the passion for beautiful grapes and the love of beautiful parcels. The organic approach is applied wisely, without any fanaticism, always exalting a little more the personality of each terroir.
In the cellar grape juice is transformed into wine with very little human intervention. Hygiene is irreproachable, which considerably reduces the use of sulfur.
Then patience will be in order! It will be necessary to let the time by means of long farms on the lees without rackings in order to obtain the purity of the Sauvignon and the delicacy of the Pinot Noir. Undergrowth farming is carried out in barrels of 228L for reds, in “tons” of 600L and “lightnings” of 2000L for whites. This brings to the wines a richness and a big potential of guard.
